RELARM google
Following widely used in visual recognition concept of relative attributes, the article establishes definition of the relative PCA attributes for a class of objects defined by vectors of their parameters. A new rating model (RELARM) is built using relative PCA attribute ranking functions for rating object description and k-means clustering algorithm. Rating assignment of each rating object to a rating category is derived as a result of cluster centers projection on the specially selected rating vector. Empirical study has shown a high level of approximation to the existing S & P, Moody’s and Fitch ratings. …

Digital Hoarding google
Digital hoarding (also known as e-hoarding) is excessive acquisition and reluctance to delete electronic material no longer valuable to the user. The behavior includes the mass storage of digital artifacts and the retainment of unnecessary or irrelevant electronic data. The term is increasingly common in pop culture, used to describe the habitual characteristics of compulsive hoarding, but in cyberspace. As with physical space in which excess items are described as ‘clutter’ or ‘junk,’ excess digital media is often referred to as ‘digital clutter.’ …

Mendelian Randomization google
The basic idea behind Mendelian Randomization is the following. In a simple, randomly mating population Mendel’s laws tell us that at any genomic locus (a measured spot in the genome) the allele (genetic material you got) you get is assigned at random. At the chromosome level this is very close to true due to properties of meiosis (here is an example of how this looks in very cartoonish form in yeast).
